8-13 May in Hamburg, Germany one of the biggest International trade exhibitions in Europe - FESPA 2017 took place , where on 68.000 sq.meters, on 700 boothes the latest developments, equipment, consumables and technologies in field of screen & digital printing, thermo-transfer in field of advertising, promotion, including textile printing were displayed. During 5 days the exhibition was visited by more than 20.000 visitors from 39 countries. This year slogan of the show was - «Dare to Print Different». Among major trends I would like to point out the following:

  • Further development of digital technologies, including various digital displays

  • Digital printing on garment and other materials, pressure from digital technologies to traditional on developed markets (Europe, USA)

  • Further switching from printing on vinyl to textile (Apple and Samsung obliged to print their promotional jobs on textile only)

  • Development of aluminium frames, for the first time on HP booth were presented aluminium frame were garment fixed between two rubber bars without any additional operations

  • Printing by ecological consumables

  • Integration of digital printing units on screen printing equipment

  • Further increasing of productivity of printers, plotters, scanners and other equipment

  • Further development of China made machinery and consumables

  • Automation of the equipment

  • Conductive paints usage in automotive industry, electronics, aerospace and other fields

3M (USA) New materials for ink jet printers, including new film for auto transport - transparent and metallalized, self-recovering film and other products were displayed. AEOON TECHNOLOGIES (Austria) Austrian manufacturer of industrial digital direct to garment printers launched a new model with printing speed up-to 900 T-shirts per hour. ALEPH (Italy) Leading manufacturer of industrial textile printers demonstrated flagman model LaForte with productivity of 900 sq.m. of garment per hour. BIGPRINTER (Russia) Russian manufacturer of wide format printers and plotters displayed two high productivity units: flatbed UV printer Bigprinter UV and flatbed cutting plotter Bigzee Cutter 1016. BULLMER (Germany) Showed possibilities of digital cutting plotters — Premiumcut ELС and super wide Premiumcut 5032 CV with cutting size = 5 meters, including unwinder. CANON (Japan) European launch of roll printer Océ Colorado 1640 / 1625 mm printing width with new technology of printing Canon UVgel (UV inks). Also new models Océ Arizona 6170 XTS, Océ AutoPilot, Océ ColorWave 700, Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-Series, imagePRESS C750. DURST (Austria) Displayed two major printing machines Rho P10 250 HS Plus and Rho 512R Plus. EFI (USA) Among exhibits are light-emitted diode UV printer EFI Pro 16h with double speed compare to the previous model. European launch of textile printers Vutek 5r and Vutek FabriVU 520 EPSON (Japan) SureColor SC-S with ecosolvent inks and SureColor SC-F for sublimation and direct to textile for clothes. 10 cooler SureColor SC-S80600 (width 1625 mm), UltraChrome GS3 with red, metallic, white inks, sublimation printer SureColor SC-F9200 with resolution 720×1440 dpi on speed 100 sq.m. per hour. DURST (Austria) Printing system Delta for printing on carton board. ESKO (Denmark) Esko displayed soft products support wide format printing process- ArtiosCAD for outdoor printing and Adobe Illustrator Studio for 3D design. FUJIFILM (Japan) Displayed unique flatbed production system including UV printer B1 size on Fujifilm printing heads with soft, which optimised printing quality. GANDY DIGITAL (Israel) Demonstrate 5 meter roll to roll printer. HP (USA) Showed industrial wide format printer HP Scitex 17000 for card board, latex printers HP Latex for printing on wallpaper, signboard and other products. HP DesignJet on water base inks and other products. INCA DIGITAL (UK) Displayed flagman roll to roll printer Inca SpyderX. IQDEMY (Switzerland) UV flatbed printer Maglev 1228 with printing format 1200×2800 mm. KIIAN DIGITAL (Italy) Displayed pigment inks Digistar Bravo for direct to garment on Kyocera printing heads. KORNIT DIGITAL (Israel) Among exhibits - a new printer Storm Duo with printing speed of 200 T-shirts an hour. MACTAC (USA) self-recovering film and mat films. MASSIVIT (Israel) Big printing size 3D printer Massivit 1800 with parts printing 1800×1500×1200 mm, used for number of promotion and advertising jobs. MIMAKI (Japan) Displayed flatbed UV printer UJF-3042 MkII EX, which primer, white, color printing and varnishing in one working cycle. MUTOH (Japan) Among new products: 6-color UV-printer ValueJet 626UF (А2 printing size), low end sublimation printer ValueJet 1604WX and industrial sublimation printer ValueJet 1948WX. OKI (Japan) Showed number of printers, including recently launched ColorPainter (1625 mm printing size) and a new printer with white color Pro Series Graphic Arts RICOH (Japan) European launch of hybrid roll / flatbed UV printer EFI Vutek H1625 LED (in cooperation with EFI since 2016) and wide format latex printer Ricoh Pro L4160 (water latex). ROLAND DG (Japan) One of the major products series of cutters CAMM-1 GR . SAKURAI (Japan) European launch of automatic screen printing machine Sakurai MS110-DDS with direct servo drive. ZÜND (Switzerland) Major exhibit was Zünd G3 3XL-3200 plotter for roll materials. MHM (Austria) and M&R (USA) Both leaders in T-shirt screen printing displayed oval printing lines with integrated digital printing modules.
