15 th ITM / INTERNATIONAL TEXTILE MACHINERY, ISTANBUL, TURKEY
From 14 to 18 April in Istanbul, Turkey, the 15th ITM / International Textile Machinery Exhibition took place. The exhibition was organized by the exhibition center Istanbul Expo Center TEKNİK Fair and the congress center TÜYAP in cooperation with TEMSAD - the association of manufacturers of textile equipment of Turkey.
The ITM exhibition is one of the largest events in the world dedicated to the textile industry. This year more than 1 000 companies from 70 countries took part in trade show.
This year the exhibition located in 12 pavilions and on an area of 120,000 sq m.
The exhibition presented a wide range of equipment for processing and printing on fabrics: fiber pre-processing machines / spinning equipment / winding machines / weaving machines / embroidery equipment / knitting machines / nonwovens production technologies / textile dyeing equipment / digital textile printers / machines for washing, bleaching and drying fabrics / dyes, chemical materials and components / accessories.
In parallel to the ITM Istanbul, there were several events related to textile industry:
Exhibition of technical textiles and nonwovens / HIGHTEX 2018 - where modern materials were presented for use in construction, transport, agriculture, sports industry, medicine, geotextiles, industrial textiles, protective fabrics.
15th International Exhibition of Yarn and Threads / INTERNATIONAL ISTANBUL YARN FAIR 2018.
The 8th International Textile Conference (ETT 2018), which examined the current situation and the future development of textile enterprises.
As always, the industry leaders - European companies Karl Mayer's Warp Knitting Business Unit, Dilo Group, SSM Schärer Schweiter Mettler AG, Bianco, Corino as well as local manufacturers as HAS Group, Beneks have demonstrated the latest equipment for the production and processing of fabrics.
In general, the trend of the printed textile industry is its digitization, including digital printing devices for textile. At ITM, dozens of digital printers of different capacities were presented, both for direct and sublimation printing and on cotton, viscose, silk, knitwear and artificial fabrics.
One of the leaders in the market of digital printing machines - the Italian company Aleph (www.alephteam.com), a manufacturer of digital printing machines for textiles, showed on its stand two printing machines: LaForte Paper (sublimation printing on polyester) and LaForte Fabric (printing on natural fabric), both printers were sold during the exhibition.
This time the delegations of the textile industry from Iran, Uzbekistan, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Russia, Egypt and Kenya became special guests of ITM.
For 5 days the exhibition was visited by around 50 000 people.
