The annual trade show of additive technologies - 3D Print Expo (3d-expo.ru) took place on October 12-13, in exhibition center Sokolniki, Moscow.
Among the exhibits were 3D printers, scanners, consumable materials and 3D parts samples from different market segments: medical, dental, aerospace, automotive, souvenir and others.
Among interesting novelties we would like to note a 3D metal printer made in St.Petersburg by company RussianSLM and relatively inexpensive color 3DPrinter from XYZPrintng (Taiwan), allows to print color objects.
Seminar program during the fair was related to integration of additive technologies into traditional production process, 3D printing by composite materials, production of injection mold by additive technology.
As part of the show, the local 3D manufacturer Picasso organized a 3D master class. Also, anyone could make a print with a 3D pen, which was quite popular among children.
At the same time I have to admit that this year the show space was slightly less than in 2017, including 3D samples exposition, which is quite a pity because interest to 3D technologies is increasing worldwide and in Russia too. There are practically no 3D printers of medium and large size, except Stratasys Fortus 450 at the Nissa Digispace stand.
At the lower end, 3D printers from Chinese manufacturers dominated.
